Disposable gloves are the highest-turnover PPE in any building — used everywhere from Singapore hospital wards and operating theatres to F&B production lines, hawker chains, electronics rework benches and contract cleaning crews. Phil Industries supplies the full Polyco Healthline range: nitrile, latex, vinyl, polythene, SafeDon easy-don, sterile, and the dispensers that hold them — in case quantities, ex-stock from our Ubi warehouse with next-working-day delivery and trade pricing.

Why they are core PPE here

Singapore’s healthcare system, food industry and pharmaceutical sector all run on disposable gloves as the front-line barrier between the worker, the patient, the product and the environment. Therefore the choice of polymer is not a detail — it decides whether the barrier holds.

Nitrile, latex, vinyl or polythene?

Type Strengths Watch out for Typical use
Nitrile Best chemical + puncture resistance; latex-free Costs more than vinyl Medical, lab, electronics, industrial
Latex Best fit and tactile feel Type I allergy risk Surgical, dexterity-critical work
Vinyl Economical Weak chemical + puncture resistance Short, low-risk tasks
Polythene Cheapest, fastest to change Loose fit; splash only High-volume food service

The disposable gloves range

  • Nitrile — powder-free, latex-free medical and industrial grades, so it covers most tasks.
  • Latex — powder-free natural rubber for surgical and laboratory use.
  • Vinyl — cost-effective food-grade and medical exam gloves.
  • Polythene (PE) — high-volume single-use food-service gloves, for example at a hawker line.
  • SafeDon — patented easy-donning gloves, because high glove-change rates punish a slow don.
  • Sterile — surgical and ISO Class 5 cleanroom sterile gloves.
  • Dispensers — wall-mount and counter-top frames that keep glove issue orderly.

How to choose

Glove choice depends on the task hazard, contact time, food or chemical exposure, allergy policy and daily volume per operator. Furthermore, balance unit cost against torn-glove rate — because a cheaper glove that fails on donning is not actually cheaper.

Who we supply

Restructured hospitals and private healthcare groups, dental and aesthetic clinics, biopharmaceutical and medical-device manufacturers, electronics OEMs, food processors and central kitchens, hawker chains, and contract cleaning companies. As a result, delivery is typically next working day within Singapore.

Frequently asked questions

Which disposable glove is best — nitrile, latex or vinyl?

Nitrile gives the best chemical and puncture resistance and is latex-free. In contrast, latex offers the best fit and tactile feel, while vinyl is the economical choice for short, low-risk tasks. We stock all three powder-free. However, for static-sensitive work choose anti-static (ESD) gloves instead.

Are your disposable gloves powder-free?

Yes. Since the US FDA banned powdered medical gloves in January 2017, powder-free is the standard. Because powder can carry proteins and contaminate products, all our disposable gloves are powder-free.

What is AQL and why does it matter?

Acceptable Quality Level measures the statistical rate of pinhole defects in a batch. A lower AQL means fewer failures, so medical examination gloves are tested to AQL 1.5 or better.

Do you deliver disposable gloves in Singapore?
